Product Scope

Suntan provides multiple metallized film capacitor series covering polyester and polypropylene dielectric technologies.
The available models include:

• Metallized Polyester Film Capacitor – TS02
• Metallized Polyester Film Capacitor (Box Type) – MEC-TS02B
• Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitor – TS07
• Box-type Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitor – TS07B
• High Voltage Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitor – TS09

Dielectric Technology and Electrical Characteristics

Metallized film capacitors utilize a thin metallized layer deposited on polymer film, enabling self-healing capability and stable capacitance performance.
Two dielectric materials are available in this product group:

• Polyester (PET) – Suitable for general-purpose coupling, decoupling, and signal applications where compact size and cost efficiency are required.
• Polypropylene (PP) – Lower dielectric loss and improved electrical stability compared to polyester, suitable for applications requiring higher voltage handling and stable frequency characteristics.

Box-type structures provide improved mechanical protection and insulation, while high-voltage variants are designed for circuits requiring enhanced voltage endurance.

Series Differentiation

• TS02 / MEC-TS02B – Metallized polyester dielectric, available in radial and box configurations.
• TS07 / TS07B – Metallized polypropylene dielectric for improved electrical stability.
• TS09 / TS09B – High-voltage polypropylene versions for circuits with elevated operating voltage requirements.
